Opening the show tonight is Glasgow's very own, Prides. The band were well received by the audience as they played their upbeat indie pop sound even adding a cover of ‘Time After Time’ for a little sing along. Prides are definitely the rich man’s Bastille. With their performance tonight I am sure they have gained a lot more fans here.
Excitement began to grow for the headliners Blink 182, with every flicker of the lights the crowds screams became louder.
Blink 182 played a set that they are well known for, with a solid performance featuring crowd favourites from their catalogue of releases including songs like ‘Natives’ ‘Wishing Well’,, ‘Stay Together’, ‘I Miss You’, and ‘Dumpweed’. Let's not forget there fountain of rude jokes in between most songs.
However, unfortunately tonight acoustics let them down as some song where hard to hear and vocals muffled.
The encore also lasted a little too long as the crowds backing began to wane as time went on.
The light show was really a stand out and this is a band that knows how to put on a show, with a flaming 'fuck' hanging above their heads.
Finishing of the song ‘Dammit’, that was a great end to the set. Over all this was a well-received set as the crowd bounced around the pit.
